Watch and enjoy every single ball of the Super over during the Super 4 clash of the 2025 season of the Asia Cup 2025 between India and Sri Lanka at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium as the dead-rubber turned into a thriller.

When Pakistan qualified to face India in the final of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the India vs Sri Lanka clash of the Super 4 stage was supposed to be a dead rubber. No one had much interest in the game. However, nobody knew that it would turn out to be a classic between the two sides as the game progressed to a super-over.
Batting first, India smashed 202/5 in their allotted 20 overs of the innings, thanks to Abhishek Sharma’s fine knock of 61 runs in 31 balls with the help of eight boundaries and two sixes at a strike rate of nearly 200. Tilak Verma remained unbeaten on 49 runs. Sri Lanka, in reply, despite Pathum Nissanka’s 107 runs in 58 deliveries, finished on the same score.
The game moved into a super-over. Arshdeep Singh was shouldered for the responsibility as Sri Lanka sent Kusal Perera and Dasun Shanaka for the batting job. On the very first ball, the left-handed batter was dismissed after he was caught by the sweeper cover.

In the second ball of the super-over, Kamindu Mendis took a single to bring Shanaka on strike. The right-handed batter missed the third legal delivery of the over before the fourth ball was called a wide. There was drama around the fourth legal ball of the over.
Arshdeep bowled a superb ball, which Shanaka missed. But the wicket-keeper, Saju Samson, was able to send the batter back through a run-out. However, because the bowling-end umpire raised his finger to Arshdeep’s appeal, and later it was changed due to the DRS decision, the run-out didn’t happen because the ball was already dead by then. However, it didn’t matter because the fifth ball saw Shanaka getting dismissed.
It took India only one delivery against Wanindu Hasaranga. The T20I captain of the Indian side, Suryakumar Yadav, punched it through the wide cover and came back for three runs to complete the chase and collect the nervy win in the super-over.
