[WATCH] Know why Michael Vaughan lauds Ben Stokes for England's 3rd Test victory against India at Lord's
Watch why Michael Vaughan lauds Ben Stokes for England's third Test victory against India at Lord's.

The former England captain, Michael Vaughan, has lauded the current Test captain of the side, Ben Stokes for his incredible match-winning all-round performance with the bat, bowl and field during the third Test of the five-match series against India at Lord’s to earn a 22-run victory as they go 2-1 up in the series before the fourth fixture in Manchester.
Vaughan associated with the fact that Ben Stokes had always been the clutch player for the Three Lions, even when he was just a part of the side for his duties. But now, as a leader, he takes the responsibility on himself, according to the former batter, as he appreciates the tight moments the Durham player wins regularly.

“This England side under Ben Stokes, every time the moment needs to happen in terms of they have to win that moment, this England side under Ben, and it’s generally led by him, the run out, you know, his bowling spell last night, his bowling this morning.’ The 2005 Ashes-winning captain, Michael Vaughan, expressed on BBC Sport after the end of the Lord’s Test.

Vaughan kept on saying, ‘He just gets the ball in his hand and says ‘I will do the job for the team.’ And everyone else follows. His mentality towards the tight situation (is incredible). I don’t think I have ever seen Ben Stokes lose a tight situation. That was when he was a player, and now as a captain, he is a tremendous leader.’
Stepping up when it matters most. England's leader.

Stokes made a hard-fighting 44-run knock in the first innings, besides adding 33 runs in the second innings. With the ball, he just went through a marathon in the second innings. After a cracking bowling of 2/63 in 20 overs of the first innings, the right-arm pacer finished with 3/48 in the second.
The fourth Test could be the series-winning moment for the home side in Manchester. If they want to stretch this special performance, they will have to have Stokes at his best at Old Trafford. But as he mentioned, an exhausted Stokes desired to put his feet on his bed for four days on his bed.
