Watch: Kushal Bhurtel smashes Luke Wood for massive six in ENG vs NEP T20 World Cup 2026 clash
The right-handed opening batter of the Nepal side, Kushal Bhurtel, smashed a massive six against the left-arm pacer of England, Luke Wood, during the opening encounter of their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign.

When England posted a massive score on the board by crossing the 180-run mark during the T20 World Cup 2026 clash at the Wankhede Stadium, Nepal needed to get off to a flying start with only two fielders outside the circle inside the powerplay. And Khushal Bhurtel provided them the same, as he went after the two England pacers.
On the second delivery of the second over against Jofra Archer, Kushal Bhurtel leaned across and opened the face of the bat before driving it square on the off-side to the wide of the fielder for a boundary, before copying the same shot and the same result on the very next delivery of the over. A ball later, he smashed the right-arm pacer square past the cover region for a cracking boundary.
Luke Wood ran in for his second over of the spell, and Bhurtel used the left-arm pacer’s over the fine leg region for a boundary. Two balls later, he played one of the best shots of the afternoon, as he pulled the short ball into the stands and got six runs. On the fifth delivery, the right-handed batter cracked a boundary to get the best start.
