Pakistan didn’t make a sweet start with the bat during the Super 4 fixture of the 2025 season of the Asia Cup against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium as they kept losing wickets regularly inside the first six overs of the innings. It was a do-or-die situation for the two sides as the winner would make it into the final to face India on September 28.
These kinds of games would always demand strong character. Pakistan, however, continued to make silly mistakes, whether it’s in the field or with the bat, as a video clip of their batters taking runs in between the 22-yard went viral. It just showed the carelessness of the batter, Mohammad Haris, who forgot to maintain the basics of the game.
The incident occurred during the final delivery of the 10th over of the first innings when the captain, Salman Ali Agha, and the wicket-keeper batter, Mohammad Haris, were there for the Pakistan side at the side. The former hit the ball in the gap and set off for a run as the long-on fielder missed to collect the delivery.

The fielding effort in the deep was poor, which prompted the batters to take the second run. The replays showed that while completing the first run, Haris forgot to keep the bat inside the line in the crease, which resulted in a short run, as the incident came across as an epic brain fade moment. It went viral as the fans started to make fun of the batter.
Pakistan posted 135 runs in their allotted 20 overs of the first innings as Haris ended with 31 runs in 23 balls before Mohammed Nawaz drilled a few big shots to get 25 runs in 15 balls at a strike rate of 166.67. The left-handed batter cracked two sixes and one boundary.
Shamim Hossain smacked 30 runs for Bangladesh, which ended up being the top score in the innings. However, none of the batters could stand before the opposition bowling as they got knocked out of the event with an 11-run defeat.
