The Pakistan Super League 2026 experienced a dramatic moment when young pacer Muhammad Ismail established an unbreakable record by giving up the most costly first over in the entire tournament. The 20-year-old, making his debut for Multan Sultans, leaked 26 runs in the very first over against Lahore Qalandars.
The over turned chaotic right from the start, with wides and boundaries piling up quickly. What made it even more remarkable was that Lahore raced to 14 runs off just one legal delivery, putting immediate pressure on the debutant. The over ended with the PSL record broken after the complete destruction occurred.

The over started with several wayward deliveries that included multiple wides which reached the boundary. Mohammad Naeem capitalised on the loose bowling, striking boundaries with ease, while Parvez Hossain Emon supported at the other end.
