Introduction of animals in the middle of the cricket field isn’t new and has happened several times in the past. Such an occasion again took place during a club game to hit the young cricketers. Most of them started to rush while the young kids started to cry as the monkey kept jumping from one person to another.

A video has gone viral where the monkey enters the field and kicks one of the players badly, causing the guy to fall on the ground. Later, it kicked another kid who lost his balance and fell on the ground. Suddenly, there was a very bad and rushed situation as the seniors started to get the juniors to a safe position.

It’s not the first time that the fans or the players have been treated like animals. There was a recent game in Sri Lanka where the camera found a guy playing with the animals on the grass banks. Elephants have affected the game in Dambulla many times in the past.

It’s the job of the cricket board associations to take full care of the players and fans and ensure that the game runs smoothly without any obstructions. Kanpur’s Green Park stadium during last year’s India vs Bangladesh clash hired langurs and their handlers to guard the fans from the issues of monkeys.

“Along with the spectators, the camera persons in the stands face equal terror from the monkeys. The broadcasting team covers their equipment with black cloth to protect it from monkeys. According to reports, the monkey men carry whistles with them. The monkeys are scared of the sound and scurry off from the site.” The reports of the Times of India expressed.

A few weeks ago, a fox appeared at Lord’s during The Hundred 2025 clash. The guards tried to chase the animal several times, but someone the fox wasn’t able to find the exit gate. The spectators enjoyed the moment till it lasted before finally the animal got out of the park.
