Watch: Pakistani fan fights with England supporter during PAK vs ENG T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8 match

In a thrilling cricket match, the England national cricket team beat the Pakistan national cricket team by 2 wickets in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8 match. The game was played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on yesterday.

England became the first team in the tournament to reach the semi-finals after this win. England has always won against Pakistan in T20 World Cup matches, and Pakistan has never beaten England in this tournament.

During the match, a fight started in the stadium. A Pakistan supporter and an English supporter argued and fought. Some Sri Lankan supporters came to stop the fight.

How the Fight started

The Pakistani fan, named Saud, is known for instigating people during matches. Some people say he tries to create trouble with others. The video clip was shared by Australian influencer Jake Jennings. 

Notably, Jennings called Saud a “serial offender” because he had seen him in trouble earlier in the tournament. Jennings also wrote on social media, play silly games, win silly prizes. He asked the International Cricket Council to take strong action against such behavior.

On the other side, Saud said that the fight started when an England fan came to him and behaved badly. He claimed that some England supporters were friends of Jennings. Saud also said that they threw beer on him, and that action led to the small scuffle inside the stadium. The argument slowly turned into a fight, but some local supporters tried to stop it.

England Move to the Semi-Final

In yesterday's match, England beat Pakistan by 2 wickets in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8 game played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. England captain Harry Brook played very well and scored his first century in the tournament. His century helped England chase the target and win the match under pressure. This win made England the first team to qualify for the semi-final in this tournament.

Pakistan Tournament Situation

Pakistan team got only one point because their opening Super 8 match against New Zealand was washed out due to rain. Because of that, Pakistan stayed at the same point level after losing against England. Now the Men in Green has only one Super 8 match left.

Pakistan must win their final Super 8 match against Sri Lanka. They also need other match results to go in their favour if they want to have any chance to move to the next stage of the tournament.
