The right-handed batter took on Deepak Chahar quite comfortably in the eighth over of the match. Prabhsimran charged down the pitch, gave himself room and launched the ball over long-off for a six. That inside-out shot went viral on social media within minutes as the fans enjoyed his batting thoroughly. He batted brilliantly throughout the innings and didn't allow the pressure to slide in.
The credit also goes to Iyer for holding the innings from the other end and helping PBKS take the game home. Despite setting up a good target, MI lost the game. The pitch favoured the batters more, and hence, the score was chaseable. PBKS are unbeaten in the tournament and would like to keep the winning momentum going.
Despite Prabhsimran and Iyer's brilliant knock, Arshdeep Singh won the Player of the Match award for his terrific three wickets in four overs. He conceded just 22 runs, even though the pitch belonged to the batters in both innings. The young bowler dismantled MI's top order in the early overs of the innings.
