Harry Brook carried onslaught as the first session of Day 4 was nearing end. England were in trouble after losing three wickets and fetched 11 runs of Akashdeep’s over. The subsequent over was being bowled by Prasidh Krishna and the batter looked in same touch and was ready to go big.

On the very first ball of the 35th over, Prasidh bowled a short delivery and Brook awkwardly pulled the ball towards cover where Mohammed Siraj was stationed. Siraj judged the ball quickly at the first but after completing the catch stepped on the rope. Prasidh at first glance assumed he got the wicket but the bowler’s expression changed after coming into terms what traversed.

Brook and Root put up 100 run stand

The catch might have cost big time for team India as Brook and Joe Root together added a 100 run partnership. At the end of 47th over, England scored 208/3 and were just 166 runs behind the target. Harry Brook was unbeaten on 63 off just 58 deliveries, whereas Root accompanied him well with unbeaten 41 runs off 72 balls.
