Prasidh Krishna quickly got back into his form after the Asia Cup 2025 snub. Today (August 21, 2025), the fast bowler claimed a brace in the first match of the day of the 2025 Maharaja Trophy T20. Krishna chose Mangalore Dragons vs Mysore Warriors as the stage to make his statement.

After a successful Indian Premier League season (IPL 2025) and an eventful Anderson-Tendulkar trophy, the pacer did not have to wait too much for his first wicket for Mysore Warriors. During the closing phase of the first innings, he struck twice to pull Mangalore Dragons' run rate behind. First, he took the wicket of Thippa Reddy, then he took dangerous-looking Shreyas Gopal, who is the captain of Mangalore.

Gopal's wicket was very crucial, as he was well settled on the wicket and about to shift gears. Krishna clean bowled Shreyas before removing Reddy from the crease. Krishna utilized his full 4-over quota to take these scalps against an economy rate of 6.20. In his spell, Prasidh offered only 25 runs to Mangalore Dragons. Krishna was the purple cap holder in the IPL 2025 season for Gujarat Titans. He won the Purple Cap in IPL 2025, finishing as the leading wicket-taker with 25 wickets in 15 matches.

Prasidh Krishna has been making headlines for months

After his successful IPL stint, he joined Team India for the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. There, he played 3 out of 5 matches against England and claimed a total of 14 wickets. The tall pacer played a crucial role when the series was on the line at The Oval, which was the 5th and last match of the tour.

In that game, Krishna took a total of 8 wickets (4 wickets in the first innings and 4 more in the second innings). The combination of Krishna and Mohammed Siraj proved decisive for the match.
