Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) spinner Suyash Sharma was recently seen playing in a local cricket tournament in Malda, West Bengal. The 22-year-old played in the quarterfinal of the ongoing 25th SRMB Cup Knockout Cricket Tournament.
Playing for Saat Sokal, Malda, Suyash took 2 wickets and finished with bowling figures of 6-0-43-2 against Agragami Sangha, Siliguri in the 30-over match. He also contributed with the bat, hitting a six and remaining not out on six runs off three balls.
Saat Sokal won the match by 92 runs and advanced to the semifinal. After the match, many fans gathered to meet Suyash. A video also showed him signing a bat for one of his supporters.

Suyash Sharma’s Journey in IPL and Domestic Cricket
Notably, Suyash Sharma has a strong connection with West Bengal. He made his IPL debut with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2023 and played two seasons for the franchise. He was also part of KKR’s title-winning team in 2024.
Suyash was bought by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for ₹2.60 crore at the IPL 2025 mega auction. RCB went on to win their first-ever IPL title, defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) by six runs in the IPL 2025 final. In that season, Suyash picked up eight wickets in 14 matches at an economy rate of 8.84.
He was later retained by RCB ahead of the IPL 2026 auction. So far, Suyash has taken 18 wickets in 27 IPL matches at an economy rate of 8.75.

Strong Performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy
Suyash also played for Delhi in the 2025 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He was Delhi’s highest wicket-taker, claiming 11 wickets in seven matches at an impressive economy rate of 7.11.
However, Delhi failed to qualify for the Super League stage, finishing third in Elite Group D with four wins from seven matches. Jharkhand won their maiden Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy title after defeating Haryana by 69 runs.
