The Indian-A side, under the leadership of Rishabh Pant, is featuring in the first of the two-match unofficial series against South Africa at the BCCI Center of Ground in Bengaluru. But the focus, along with crores of fans and the players, will be on the upcoming final of the Women’s World Cup 2025 on November 02 at the DY Patil Sports Academy.

Indian women, under the captaincy of Captain Harmanpreet Kaur, qualified for the final after beating Australia in the second semifinal, riding on the fine unbeaten century by Jemimah Rodrigues.

The Proteas will now come into the final after winning the first semifinal against England at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, on the back of two special performances of all-rounder Marizanne Kapp and Laura Wolvaardt.

India women started the Women’s World Cup 2025 campaign with two consecutive victories against Sri Lanka in Guwahati before earning another victory against Pakistan. But they faced three successive defeats against the Proteas, England, and Australia.

“Come on, India!! Let’s do this.Devdutt Padikkal congratulated the Blue Brigade before Rajat Patidar joined them in the conversation,You guys have been very inspiring and a great treat to watch every single time. You guys go out there. All the best, India; make India proud and create history. It’s a chance to create history, and let’s win the World Cup at home.

But the 53-run win against New Zealand was enough for the Blue Brigade to secure the tickets for the semifinal. Their win over Australia by five wickets in the semifinal will be a massive confidence booster ahead of the final.
