[WATCH] Rohit Sharma and his wife burst into laughter at MS Dhoni’s mimicry during CEAT Award 2025 function
Watch the viral video where the former ODI captain of the Indian cricket team, Rohit Sharma, and his wife burst out into laughter after enjoying the mimicry of MS Dhoni during the CEAT Awards 2025 function.

Rohit Sharma, who was removed from the Indian captaincy in the 50-over format as Shubman Gill replaced him, attended the CEAT winners’ award 2025 function. He remains in the spotlight for the three-match ODI series against Australia down under. He aims to feature for the Blue Brigade during the 2027 World Cup in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.
At the CEAT function in Mumbai, Rohit sat beside his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, and couldn’t contain his laughter as the mimicry artist delivered a spot-on imitation of the former World Cup-winning leader, MS Dhoni. As the artist turned his voice to Dhoni, Rohit burst into laughter with Ritika, who also reacted with a mix of fun and disbelief.

The couple’s reaction went viral on various social media platforms, as the fans praised the accuracy of the voice of the artist and the unfiltered response of the Nagpur-born. The other cricketing voices were also mimicked, but it was Dhoni’s mimicry from the artist that stole the show in the evening.

Rohit has had mixed feelings in the last couple of years. Under his captaincy, India lost the final of the ODI World Cup 2023 at home, besides winning the T20 World Cup 2024 and the Champions Trophy 2025. He also spoke about the transformation of the head coach from Rahul Dravid to Gautam Gambhir.
“Look, I love that team, loved playing with them, and it's a journey that we were all into for many years. We'd come so close to winning that trophy many times, but we couldn’t just get over the line. That is where everyone decided that we needed to do something different. It cannot be done by one or two players. We needed everyone to buy into that thought, which was good for everyone.” Rohit explained during the show.
Rohit has retired from the shortest and longest formats of the game along with Virat Kohli. They will turn up in comparative cricket for the first time since the IPL 2025. This Australia series will be incredibly vital for him to be part of the home ODI series.
