Nita M Ambani, on 5th January, hosted the second edition of “United in Triumph” in Mumbai. The event was organised to honour India’s three World Cup–winning cricket teams — the men’s team, the women’s team, and the blind women’s team.

The event was attended by India’s three World Cup–winning captains — Rohit Sharma, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Deepika TC. Several star players were also present, including Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Ganga Kadam.

Apart from honouring the teams, the special event also featured several performances.

During the event, Nita Ambani spoke about Rohit Sharma’s efforts as captain and recalled how India defeated South Africa by seven runs in the World Cup final at Barbados last year, thanks to a brilliant bowling effort in the death overs.

A video showcasing Rohit Sharma’s journey was then played. While watching the video, the Indian captain became emotional after seeing his childhood pictures with his parents. Rohit reacted in a childlike manner, pointed at the pictures, and was seen chatting and smiling with his wife.
