Rohit Sharma, the former ODI captain and the current opening batter of the Indian cricket team, was shocked when a mind reader leaked his thoughts as the entire moment went viral on social media platforms. The incident occurred during a friend’s gathering where the magician named Naman Anand demonstrated his mind-reading abilities to the Mumbai batter.
The event took place as Rohit Sharma ended the three-match ODI series against Australia down under with a fifty during the second game at the Adelaide Oval and an unbeaten century in the following clash at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) to shoulder them over the line by nine wickets with nearly 12 overs to spare. The gathering had fellow cricketer Shreyas Iyer and the former assistant coach, Abhishek Nayar.

In a video titled ‘I read Rohit Sharma’s mind,’ he asked the Nagpur-born to repeat a name in his mind as Anand confirmed with the right-handed opening batter not speaking to this person in recent times. He asked Rohit to look forward and stay relaxed, besides telling him to remove his hands from his pockets.

Rohit Sharma complied with the instructions while maintaining a smile on his face. “I am saying,” the veteran said humorously as the other members in the room burst into laughter. The mind reader wrote a name on his mobile and made it a witness to the other persons present in the room, and asked them not to reveal it.
When Rohit finally told the name, ‘Azaan,’ everyone was surprised in the room, as one of his friends commented. ‘If Rohit bhai also forgot what name he had thought of’, which referred to the batter’s tendency to forget things. The quality of the magician has surprised everyone as the video sparked various reactions from the fans on social media platforms.
The event showed a very light moment in the star’s life, which brings together entertainment and sport in an engaging way. Rohit, after the end of the series down under, will shift their focus to the three-match 50-over series at home against South Africa.
