Pakistan's star batter Sahibzada Farhan has opened up about playing in The Hundred tournament. The auction is scheduled next month, in March, for which almost 67 Pakistani players have registered. As per reports, the Indian-owned teams aren't considering Pakistani players for their squads. This will make the selection of all the players quite difficult.

Meanwhile, during the press conference, Farhan was asked for his opinion on getting picked up in the auction, to which he confidently said that he wants to participate in the tournament as it's a popular one. He didn't mention any teams he would like to play for, but did talk about getting selected.

"This is not in our hands who picks us or who doesn't. Whoever is interested in picking us can, and we are ready to play in that league. It's not like people are not interested in us. I'm very hopeful. Because every player wants to play every league and play in the good leagues. The Hundred is one of the best leagues. So I hope for the best," said Farhan during the press conference.

The star batter recently scored a century in the T20 World Cup 2026 and also became the first player to score 200+ runs in the tournament. His performance has been quite impressive throughout the marquee event, and hence, he will be aiming to do the same in the upcoming matches.

Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam didn't register for The Hundred

Out of the 67 players registered for The Hundred's auction, star batters Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam haven't signed up for the tournament. They haven't opened up on the reason behind not registering for the league yet. Both batters are currently included in Pakistan's squad for the World Cup.

Meanwhile, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Saim Ayub have added their names to the auction. They had previously been a part of the tournament and had signed up with the highest base price of £100,000. The tournament will start in August 2026, like every year.
