Against a top-performing team, Shimron Hetmyer delivers a top-notch performance at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on February 23. Today's match is not only important for West Indies and Zimbabwe, but also important for India, and South Africa. In such a significant clash, Hetmyer came up with one of the finest performances in the ongoing T20 World Cup. 

The left-handed batter completed his half-century in just 19 balls, a record in the history of the tournament itself. To complete the half-century, the batter smashed a huge six against Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza. Hetmyer sweeps the ball for a maximum, which traveled for 108 meters. 

Eventually, the Caribbean batter registered 84 off 34, with a strike rate of 250.00, powered by a total of 14 boundaries including seven 4s and seven 6s. Out of 84 runs, he claimed 70 runs only by sending the ball to the boundary.

Zimbabwe emerged as a surprise in the tournament, as they outplayed two strong teams, Australia and Sri Lanka back-to-back. The Chevron qualified in the Super 8 as the table toppers of their Group, surpassing the co-host Sri Lanka. Cricket fans were eagerly waiting to see, how their bowlers went to perform against West Indies, which contains a set of explosive batters.

In the first innings, West Indies lost their openers, Brandon King and Shai Hope early and looked under pressure against the opposing bowling attack. As soon as Hetmyer anchored on the deck, the scenario started to change drastically. 

Balls were started to play all around the Wankhede stadium - raining fours and sixes from Hetmyer's blade. Rovman Powell also joined the party using his muscle power. From 54/2 in 5.5 overs to 254/6 in 20 overs, West Indies gathered 200 runs in only 85 deliveries.
