After being bought for a massive INR 26.75 crore in the mega auction, Iyer had a great season, leading his team to a top-of-the-table position and their first IPL final since 2014. Though PBKS were runners-up against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Iyer's achievements were noteworthy with 604 runs and a strike rate of 175.07, including six fifties.
