Over the years, Kolkata Knight Riders’ co-owner and the Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan, has contributed immensely to the franchise. He has spent so much time during their practice sessions on the eve of every game, while he invests so much time to discuss various topics with the youngsters and the foreign players to feel the strong bond of the franchise.
In a recent interview with Beer Biceps, the KKR pacer, Harshit Rana, has expressed that SRK never spoke about cricket but always taught them about strengthening their mental power. He revealed how he would take so much time to sit with them and talk for hours.

“SRK sir has a different thought process. He always comes and says that I can’t teach you cricket. I can only share tips with you on the mindset. And his words are very motivating because he speaks on realistic topics. SRK sir is such a huge personality. If he comes and talks to us, it’s great. He has gone through these periods, and that’s why he is sharing the process with us.”

Kolkata finished the 2024 season with the third title of the tournament, after finishing at the top of the points table with nine victories in 14 group-stage encounters at a net run rate of +1.428. Rana also commented on SRK’s vital advice of remembering the base from where they started their career.
“Through his words, you can realize why he has reached that position. Despite all his fame, he treats us like a younger brother and keeps discussing for two to three hours. That’s huge on us. And he doesn’t talk about him at all. It’s only the lessons that we could improve and scale up the career.” Harshit Rana shed light on the podcast.
“He wants us to do well. Every time, he advises us to be aware of where we come from. For two to three hours, we remain silent, and only he speaks. And how can someone talk during that period? He speaks so nicely that you want to hear him all day. Then he takes us off and has fun.” The Delhi-born addressed.
