The Indian captain, Suryakumar Yadavhas dedicated their victory by seven wickets with 25 balls to spare against Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium to the Indian Armed Forces. The right-handed batter, who turned 35, played a fine, undefeated knock of 47 runs in just 37 balls to chase down the total of 128 runs. Soon, he and Shivam Dube left the field without shaking hands with the opposition.

Even during the toss when Salman Ali Agha decided to invite India for bowling, anticipating the surface to get hard to bat on in the second innings, Sky refused to shake hands. He revealed that his side stands in solidarity with the Pahalgam terror attack victims. Earlier this year, 26 innocent lives were lost in Kashmir, following which India launched Operation Sindhoor.

Before the game, there were trends and noise of boycotting the contest as the fans expressed their displeasure with BCCI and the Indian Sports Ministry showing their green signal to the contest going forward. The BCCI secretary, Devajit Saikia, revealed that they won’t be able to take a back step, which will be against the spirit of cricket in multi-nation tournaments.

“I feel it's a great feeling, and it's a perfect return gift to India. When you're coming here, playing a game like this, you definitely want to win it, and when you win it, you always have something ready.Suryakumar came to the presentation with chants ofHappy Birthday.

Earlier, Kuldeep Yadav and the other Indian bowlers’ fine bowling of 6/60 in 12 overs at an economy rate of five was able to restrict Pakistan under the 130-run mark. Abhishek Sharma provided them a fine firing start with the bat in the chase to lay down the platform.
