India captain Suryakumar Yadav had some fun copying his former captain Rohit Sharma at the Captain's Carnival before the T20 World Cup 2026, which starts on Saturday, February 7. A video on social media showed the 35-year-old imitating Rohit's voice and his famous line: "Tu garden mein ghumna bandh kar pehle."

Rohit had first said this line during the Visakhapatnam Test against England in 2024. He was telling his teammates to stop moving around while fielding, and the moment became very popular online.

In the Carnival video, Suryakumar Yadav repeated the line in Rohit's voice: "Are tu garden mein ghoomne bandh kar pehle." (Stop roaming in the garden first.)

Praise for Head Coach Gautam Gambhir

During the Captain's Carnival, Suryakumar praised head coach Gautam Gambhir for changing the team's approach. He said the coach focuses on the team first, not individual achievements. As Suryakumar told NDTV:

"It's been a wonderful journey since he took over. He has made the dressing room a great place. Cricket is a team game. Personal milestones are not as important as the team's goal. We focus on the team's goal first, and everything else follows."

If India wins the trophy again, they will be the first team to defend it successfully and also win it at home.
