Following the T20 Cricket World Cup, which was co-hosted by the USA, there has been a growing exchange between the two sports. Suryakumar Yadav's multisport Journey: From Yankee Stadium visits to Test Cricket goals
During his trip to the United States, Suryakumar Yadav took the opportunity to visit the iconic Yankee Stadium, fostering a connection between two of the world's most popular sports. Suryakumar was in the USA in June for the 2024 T20 World Cup, where India played their group stage matches at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. India faced off against Pakistan, Ireland, and the USA at the stadium before their final match in Florida against Canada was washed out.
India's T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav, is currently enjoying some time off following the conclusion of the T20I series between India and Sri Lanka. This series marked the beginning of a new era under head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Suryakumar. India secured a clean sweep against the hosts with a 3-0 victory. Suryakumar took over as T20I captain, succeeding Rohit Sharma, who retired from the shortest format of the game. He did not participate in the ODI series against Sri Lanka, which India lost 2-0.

SuryaKumar Yadav is also aiming for a return to Test cricket as he prepares to represent Mumbai in the 2024 Buchi Babu tournament. Notably, Suryakumar received his maiden Test call-up in 2023 and made his debut against Australia in Nagpur during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in February 2023.
