India's left-handed opening batter, Yashasvi Jaiswal, has dropped a stunning statement on Virat Kohli post celebrating his maiden ODI century in the third clash in Vizag in the recent Aaj Tak Show as its video goes viral.
India’s young left-handed opening batter, Yashasvi Jaiswal, celebrated his maiden ODI century during the third game of the three-match series against South Africa at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. During that moment, the Mumbai batter got Virat Kohli on the other end, as the latter Jaiswal to do a specific celebration as the youngster obliged.
Virat Kohli had been teasing Jaiswal for his hairstyle in the opening ODI at the JSCA Cricket Complex in Ranchi, which was similar to the Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s 22-year-old movie ‘Tere Naam’. The celebration he referred to has come from the song ‘Lagan Lagi.’ In the recent Agenda Aaj Tak show, Jaiswal lauded the sense of humour of Kohli.
“There is this song that goes 'lagan lagan,' and paaji (Virat Kohli) was doing the steps and also told me to do the same. I said, 'Okay, I will do it.' That moment was really very nice. Paaji's sense of humour is unbelievable. Whenever he is around, I have so much fun. He picks things up very quickly, and it is always enjoyable being with him.” Jaiswal expressed.

In the run chase of 271 runs, Jaiswal didn’t get off to a blazing start with the bat, especially after two poor knocks in Ranchi and Raipur. He shed light on how Rohit Sharma helped him in that cause to take the pressure off his shoulders.

“It was all very special. When I started my innings, I was a little nervous because I had played only two matches before this. I was trying to convert my start. If you see, Rohit bhai talked to me a lot. He was explaining how I could play, what I could do. I was under pressure too because quite a few dot balls were happening.” Jaiswal addressed.
“He told me, 'You play calmly till I tell you. I will take the risks.' You can see how big-hearted he is. He was taking more risks and wanted me to just keep batting and settling. Later, once the ball started coming nicely onto my bat, I could start controlling the run rate.” The left-handed batter concluded in that show.
