In a video that went viral on the social media platforms, Virat Kohli, the former Indian captain of the Indian cricket team, hilariously, mimics the bowling style of the left-arm pacer, Arshdeep Singh.

The former Indian captain and the number three batter, Virat Kohli, was in a superb mood two days before the start of the upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand at home, as India gears up for the new challenge to start the calendar year 2026. With the bat, he made a fabulous end in the series against Australia and South Africa.
Kohli took his retirement from the longest format of the game just before the India Test series in England and returned to the ODI format with two successive ducks against Australia before putting an unbeaten half-century in the third ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground. He also notched up two centuries and one half-century against South Africa in the following series at home.
Two days before the practice session against New Zealand, he was in a great mood as he mimicked the bowling style of India’s left-arm pacer, Arshdeep Singh, as he tried to run up in the manner of the Punjab-born, hilariously, as the video went viral around the social media platforms.

Despite a great form in the ODI format, Kohli returned to the Vijay Hazare Trophy as per the rule of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). For Delhi, Kohli started with a fabulous century against the Railways before putting a fine half-century against Gujarat at the BCCI Center of Excellence in Bangalore to win both the games.

Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh was also in decent form against the Proteas as he also returned for Punjab in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and picked up seven wickets, five of which came against Sikkim in a fabulous bowling performance before he turned up in the same manner against Goa with two wickets.
After the ODI series, Arshdeep will turn his focus to the T20I series against New Zealand, which will be a fine preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026. On the other hand, Kohli, after a break of more than four weeks, will start preparation for the IPL 2026.
