Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) shared another clip on Tuesday morning from their podcast with Virat Kohli on their social media platforms. Kohli was like an open book in the conversation, speaking about his close-to-heart moments throughout his cricket career. India is again set to face England in a highly anticipated Test series, and Virat retired from Test cricket, will not be a part of the team. The video RCB shared was filled with moments where Virat lived in during past tours to England, especially about the 2018 England Test series.
At that time, when India toured England in 2018, Virat was at his prime, still realizing his heartbeats were racing. England cricket fans at the stadium booed Indian batters, including Virat, as soon as he entered the field; mental pressure tried to curb him. Virat had to perform under such an extremely pressure-like situation.
The star batter had a poor outing in England in 2015, and then MS Dhoni was the captain. India fought as much as possible, but it was not enough to defeat England on its home soil. Virat with the bat managed to do very little.

After 4 years, when Kohli again traveled to England, memories of 2015 were banging in his mind. By the time he grew older and more mature, and as people say, wisdom comes with age; the same happened with Virat. He learned how to calm the mind no matter what the situation. The former Indian skipper especially mentioned the former South African AB de Villiers' name. It was the Protein who taught Virat how to master a mind.
Kohli was close to participating in the County Cricket, which did not happen due to his neck injury. So lots of things were running in his mind when the right-handed batter traveled to England in 2018. But again, despite all the preparations and a win in Trente, it did not stop the home team from winning the Test series by 4-1.
"What's interesting is from 14 to 18 I have done everything everywhere in the world, performed in every condition, everywhere, but people just held on to one thing! But what about England? I realized I probably played cricket at a level that I'm currently very proud of and have won so many games for the team... People are constantly looking for things that are not going right," Virat said in the podcast shared by RCB.
"I remember AB telling me at that point. I spoke to him as well… calm after, believe in myself."
