Kohli and the former South Africa batter, AB de Villiers, share a close relationship. The Indian batting maestro stated that he will never forget the moment when he burst out of joy with Villiers as soon as RCB claimed the trophy.

“It's not difficult at all, the final was very memorable, there are moments within the game as well - when we got an important wicket, I was fielding at the boundary - AB De Villiers was standing outside, and we both celebrated in the same emotion,” Virat Kohli told the media.

So far, IPL 2016 remains Virat Kohli’s finest IPL season. During the campaign, on May 18, when RCB was up against Punjab Kings, the batter performed with a stitch on his head, and confirmed a win by scoring 113 (50).
