Virat Kohli has been in superb form during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 as he recently played a fine knock of 49 runs for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who continued their dominance in this campaign with another victory against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to be in second position on the points table.

The former RCB captain has overall smashed 228 runs in five innings of this edition at an average of 57 and a strike rate of 158.33, thanks to two half-centuries at the best score of unbeaten 69 runs. The veteran, due to the flu, featured in the last game at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru as the impact player.

Jeenifer, whose real name is Lizlaz, is a singer and travel blogger. After Kohli liked her Instagram post, she started to gain attention and popularity in India. He also has a massive following for his cultural storytelling and viral content like ‘Samosa Samosa.’

Social media erupts as screenshot goes viral online

Virat Kohli has again found himself trending for off-field reasons on social media. His interaction has sparked a wave of reactions online. A like on a post featuring the photos of a German-South African influencer has again blown the meme fest, with the fans bringing back his algorithm explanation.

The incident has been connected with Kohli liking an old post of influencer, LizLaz, and photographer, Advait Vaidya. That has caught massive attention as he doesn’t follow the influencer. In just a few minutes, the screenshots began to get circulated, which turned into a viral moment.

Their reactions quickly went viral on the internet, with the fans turning the moment into humour rather than controversy. It has become the joke as many fans have revisited the Delhi batter’s earlier clarification from a similar incident.

This is now the first time the veteran’s social media activity has grabbed headlines. Last year, he liked a fan page dedicated to Bollywood actress and influencer Avneet Kaur, which led to a similar wave of speculation and online discussion. Kohli, during that period, clarified it as an accidental interaction, attributing it to the algorithm while clearing the Instagram feed.

Here is how the fans have reacted to Kohli’s like on the influencer’s post on Instagram-
