Virat Kohli, the former Indian right-handed batter, took the blessings of Lord Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha at Simhachalam Devasthanam Temple in Visakhapatnam after they won the three-match ODI series by a 2-1 series victory against South Africa, thanks to their nine-wicket victory during the third game at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium during their 271-run chase.

Virat Kohli came into the series under a little bit of speculation, having scored one unbeaten fifty during the previous three-match ODI series against Australia down under, besides getting two ducks in the first couple of games in Adelaide and Perth. However, the Delhi-born showed his class in the three-match series against the Proteas.

Virat smashed a fine knock of 135 runs in the opening encounter at the JSCA Cricket Complex in Ranchi. India won the clash thanks to some good death overs bowling from their pacers by a nervy margin of 17 runs on the board. However, Kohli’s successive century in the second encounter in Raipur ended in a losing cause.

“Honestly, just playing the way I have in this series has been the most satisfying thing for me. I don't think I've played at this level for a good two to three years now, and I feel really free in my mind, and just the whole game is coming together nicely. It’s very exciting to build on. And something that I've always tried to do as a player.Kohli said after the end of the clash.

For the third game in Vizag, the Delhi batter remained unbeaten on a half-century at a strike rate of 144.44 to complete the chase by nine wickets. He will now feature in the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) 2025/26 before putting his focus on the home ODI series against New Zealand.
