A video has gone viral on social media platforms where India's former captain, Rohit Sharma, was seen being approached for a selfie while he was inside his moving car. The opening batter extended his hand out of the car window to wave to the fans as one of them shook hands with him. Tell them everything was going smoothly, but what happened next was unexpected.

Both fans tried to pull Rohit’s hand and get a selfie with him as the Mumbai batter was left disappointed with their behavior and warned them before rolling up the car’s window. Rohit is generally a very chilled person who interacts with his fans outside the grounds or even in the airports, as this incident has actually questioned the behavior of the fans towards their heroes.

He was essentially seen in action during the Vijay Hazare Trophy games for Mumbai, where he smashed a fine knock of 155 against Sikkim at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium and was dismissed for a golden duck against Uttarakhand at the same ground two days later.

Rohit Sharma will soon start his preparation for the upcoming three-match ODI series at home against New Zealand, starting on January 11. As per the rules of the BCCI, he featured in the two domestic 50-over games for Mumbai and found some good form heading into the series against the Kiwis.

The 38-year-old has overall smashed 11516 runs in 271 innings at an average of over 49 and a strike rate of nearly 93 with the help of 33 centuries and 61 fifties at the best score of 264. As of now, Rohit’s only focus remains on the upcoming ODI World Cup 207 in South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe, having already retired from the longest and shortest formats of the game.

After the ODI series against the Black Caps, Rohit gets a nice break during the T20 World Cup 2026 before heading into the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 for the Mumbai Indians in late March.
