The Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) 2025 carries on to Match No. 15, which will see the Sydney Thunder Women (ST-W) take on the Perth Scorchers Women (PS-W) on Wednesday, November 19 at Drummoyne Oval, Sydney. Both teams will be looking to work their way up the ranks as the tournament progresses.

Sydney Thunder Women have had a very difficult start to their season. The Phoebe Litchfield-led team is on a three-match losing streak and has not won a single game so far. They are currently placed seventh on the points table. The Thunder will be desperate to put in a strong performance and finally get their first win of the season.

In contrast, the Perth Scorchers Women have had a more successful campaign, winning two of their four matches and entering this match on the back of a win against the Adelaide Strikers Women last match. The Scorchers will want to keep the winning momentum and gain further points to remain in the top half of the table.

ST-W vs PS-W: Pitch Report

The pitch at the Drummoyne Oval is not very batting-friendly, especially at the start of the innings. The new ball can be challenging to face because it offers movement and variable bounce. Teams often find it difficult to score quickly here. Because of this, the captain who wins the toss may choose to bat first and try to put pressure on the chasing team under tricky conditions.
