After returning from Australia, Rohit Sharma has been continuing to work on his fitness. According to a recent video, the opener was spotted with Abhishek Nayar and Mumbai Indians Assistant Physiotherapist Amit Dubey after completing his Aquacentric therapy. 

What is Aquacentric therapy? 

Not only about maintaining fitness standards, cricketers have to go through the stress relief process. There can be multiple methods for stress relieving. But what is aquacentric therapy, which Rohit Sharma has recently applied, and how does it work to make a player ready for upcoming endeavors? 

Aquacentric therapy is a type of physiotherapy that uses water, mainly a warm-water pool, to aid in rehabilitation and fitness. Because of the buoyancy, a body, which is immersed in water, experiences an upward buoyant force that works against gravity. With the opposite force against gravity, it helps a body to release pressure on the joints, bones, and muscles. 

In cricket, a cricketer, during fielding or batting, has to stand on their feet constantly, which puts constant pressure on joints, muscles, and bones. To release the excessive stress from the body, players can relay the Aquacentric therapy.

When will Rohit Sharma play next for team India?

It is expected to see him during the India vs South Africa ODI series, for which the squad announcement is yet to be made. Though, India cricket fans were surprised not to see Sharma and Virat Kohli's name in the India A team sqaud. Before his batting against the strong Australian bowling attack, it was his regained fitness which suprised cricket fans a lot.
