21-year-old Danish Malewar continues his dream form in the First Class cricket as he scored a century in his first Duleep Trophy match with the Central Zone. During the development of the article, the young batter, in his debut Duleep Trophy match, had already edged past the 150-run mark with 29 boundaries.

The Vidharbha-born emerged as one of the most promising batters in the domestic format. Before beginning the ongoing tournament, he scored 153 & 73 in the Ranji Trophy final against Kerala. The ton against the NortheastZone is another example of his batting brilliance. He came to bat at number 3 and made a mammoth partnership with the skipper, Rajat Patidar, in the middle.

With today's innings, Danish, in total, got two centuries and posted three more 70+ scores in his last four red-ball First Class appearances. The right-handed batsman stitched two hundred-plus partnerships for Central Zone. With Aryan Juyal, he found a 139-run partnership where Aryan contributed 59 runs and Malewar added 79 runs.

In the following wicket, Malewar and Patidar together added 199 runs to the scoreboard. Patidar, with his 125-run innings, was the better contributor of the partnership, while Danish joined him with 72 runs. Notably, the Patidar-Malewar partnership came with more pace compared to the Malewar-Juyal partnership. 

Notable stats owned by Danish Malewar in Red Ball FC cricket:

- 75 in the quarterfinal vs Tamil Nadu

- 79 in the semifinal vs. Mumbai

- 153 and 73 runs in the Ranji Trophy final. 

- Formed an important 182-run partnership with veteran Karun Nair in the Ranji Trophy final against Kerala. 

- Batting average over 60 at the age of only 21.
