Sunrisers Hyderabad named Harsh Dubey as the replacement for Smaran Ravichandran, who previously replaced the injured Adam Zampa. Harsh, a prominent name in the domestic circuit, has so far been unsung in the limited overs cricket.
The spin bowling all-rounder has made his name as a Vidarbha player. Dubey was making headlines after his stellar performance in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season. He became the highest wicket-taker in a Ranji Trophy season with 69 wickets, surpassing Bihar's Ashutosh Aman, who took 68 wickets back in the 2018-19 season.
The 22-year-old Pune-born Harsh Dubey was awarded the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 tournament player award after his record-breaking performance. In the quarterfinals, the all-rounder displayed an all-round performance with bat and ball, scoring half centuries in both innings and claiming 4 scalps against Tamil Nadu, which led his team to a comfortable 198-run win.

In the final match, it was again Dubey who secured the path to the Ranji Trophy silverware for Vidharbha. He took 3 wickets in the first innings, and Vidarbha managed to secure their lead later, which proved crucial for their Ranji triumph.
Dubey has been consistently under Ravichandran Ashwin's monitor, as he participated in Chennai's league cricket for the last four years. The budding talent started his cricket career as a batter and later transformed into an all-rounder. Dubey wants to represent India in the future.
