The opening day of the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 (VHT 2025-26) turned up as a run fest as multiple batters had registered hundreds and fifties. While the batters enjoyed high-scoring encounters, it was a day to forget for the bowlers. But the next round of play seems different, as the bowlers also got their moments to shine.

A 20-year-old Indian pacer, Raj Limbani, single-handedly clinched half of Bengal's batting unit during the Bengal vs. Baroda match at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium. The emerging pacer pocketed 5 wickets in the match during his 10-over spell. The bowling duo of Baroda—Krunal Pandya and Raj Limbani—picked up a total of 8 wickets and forced Bengal to bundle for only 205 runs in 38.3 overs. While Pandya is a well-established all-rounder in Indian cricket, Limbani is an underrated talent.

Abhimanyu Easwaran, the skipper of the Bengal cricket team, was the first batter to lose a wicket against the pacer. Anustup Majumdar, the seasoned campaigner who stabilized Bengal's innings for a while, had to walk back to the dugout after scoring 47 runs as Limbani struck again.
