Who is Rohit Sharma’s lookalike? Mumbai batter goes viral in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26

Rohit Sharma was in great form as Mumbai kicked off their 2025-26 season of the Vijay Hazare Trophy with an impressive win over Sikkim. Rohit smashed an impressive 155 off just 94 balls, leading his team to win the match by eight wickets, led by Shardul Thakur.

Apart from Rohit’s brilliant knock, a photo from Mumbai’s innings caught everyone’s attention. The picture showed Rohit standing next to Mumbai wicketkeeper-batter Hardik Tamore, who looks very similar to him. The resemblance surprised many fans.

Since the match was not shown on TV or online platforms, the photo appeared on social media only on Christmas Day, December 25. Many fans initially thought the image was edited but later realized that Tamore naturally looks a lot like Rohit Sharma.

Who Is Hardik Tamore? The Mumbai Batter Making Quiet Progress

Hardik Tamore was born in Thane and has been part of Mumbai’s domestic cricket setup for the past few seasons. He has played across formats and slowly made his place in one of India’s strongest domestic teams.

Tamore is a competent wicket-keeper batsman who typically bats in the middle order. He has often played useful cameos and has earned praise for finishing innings strongly when Mumbai needed quick runs.

His biggest came in the 2021-22 Ranji Trophy, where he hit an unbeaten century against Uttar Pradesh during the semi-finals. Tamore is also recognized for his proper shot selection and strike rotation. He has also played for several ages of the Mumbai team and has been supported by the Mumbai Cricket Association. Recently, he added another highlight by winning the Player of the Match award in Mumbai’s second Vijay Hazare Trophy game with an unbeaten 93 off 82 balls, underlining his growing value to the side.
