 IND-W vs PAK-W

The excitement continues to build in the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 as arch-rivals India Women (IND W) face Pakistan Women (PAK W) in Match 6 at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, on Sunday, October 5, at 3:00 PM IST. No doubt this is one of the most watched matches of the tournament, with both sides wanting to secure vital points at the early stages of the group.

India Women come off a solid 59-run win against Sri Lanka, and there will be plenty of confidence in their side after starting their campaign. They batted first after winning the toss and were able to finish on 269/8 in a rain-interrupted 47 overs, a brilliant knock from Amanjot Kaur (57), Deepti Sharma (53), Harleen Deol (48), and Pratika Rawal (37). Harmanpreet Kaur led her bowling unit nicely and Sri Lanka were bowled out for 211, ending with a win on the DLS method.

On otherhand, Pakistan Women will be looking to move on quickly from their seven-wicket loss to Bangladesh. Their batters didn't get going and were bowled out for just 129 in the match. Bangladesh chased down this score comfortably, led by Rubya Haider's unbeaten half-century. Fatima Sana and her batting unit will need improvement with the bat and also in the field to match a confident squad with India.
