"Worst airline..."- Mohammad Siraj furious over Air India's delayed flight post IND vs SA Test series
The right-arm pacer of the Indian cricket team, Mohammad Siraj, has expressed his frustration over Air India's delayed fight post the two-match Test series between India and South Africa that they lost by 0-2 margin.
The premier fast bowler of the Indian cricket team, Mohammad Siraj, publicly expressed his frustration with Air India Express after facing a bad experience with the airline on his return to Hyderabad from Guwahati at the end of the second Test of the two-match series against South Africa, which they ended with a 0-2 series defeat.
In the social-media post, Siraj identified the Air India Express flight (IX 2884) from Guwahati to Hyderabad, scheduled to depart at 7:25 pm, but didn’t take off as planned. He also claimed that the airline did not explain to the passengers despite their repeated enquiries, which left the passengers hackled for four hours.
“Air India flight no. IX 2884 from Guwahati to Hyderabad was supposed to take off at 7.25; however, there has been no communication from the airline, and after repeatedly following up, they have just delayed the flight with no proper reasoning. This has been really frustrating, and this is the basic ask by every passenger.” Siraj wrote on his X account (formerly known as Twitter).
Mohammad Siraj hits out at Air India Express for delayed flight post 0-2 series defeat vs South Africa
Just minutes after Siraj’s post on social media, Air India Express issued a public response on X, where they apologised to the star cricketer for the inconvenience and stated that the flight had been cancelled due to unforeseen operational reasons and assured that the airport staff would be assisting all the passengers with necessary arrangements.
“Flight delayed by 4 hours and still no update has left us stranded. Worst airline experience. I really would not advise anyone to take this flight if they can’t take a stand.” Siraj wrote in that X post. He is returning home after five days of toil in the second game, where they faced a massive defeat by 408 runs.
This was India’s biggest Test defeat by runs, and South Africa earned the largest winning margin against them. India had earlier lost the opening Test at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata by 30 runs. They will now shift their focus to the three-match ODI series, starting on November 30.
