Delhi Capitals Women's (DC-W) brings in one of their last season's players, whom they decided to let go before the Women's Premier League Auction (WPL 2026 Auction). After another tough bidding fight, Delhi Capitals secured the service of an emerging Indian cricketer who is already well known for her impactful bowling skills.
We are talking about Nallapureddy. Shree Charani, commonly known as Shree Charani, will again play for the Delhi-based franchise in WPL 2026. The left-arm slow left-arm orthodox was a part of the team in the previous season as well. But, with the intention to rebuild the squad for a fresh season, DC-W released most of their players before the auction. Delhi Capitals Women's team officials have joined the auction event with the auction’s smallest purse of Rs 5.70 crore. DC bought her back for a good price of 1.30 crore.

N Charani back in Delhi Capitals for WPL 2026 season
21-year-old Charani had brief but important runs with Delhi Capitals Women's in WPL 2024-25 season. She went to play only 2 matches for them and picked up 4 wickets at an economy rate of 8.87. She got 2 Wickets in each game.
But her most important run was during the women's World Cup 2025. She played constantly well, and took wickets in back-to-back matches. In the final against South Africa Women's as well the young bowler claimed a wicket.
