WTC 2025-27 point's table after ENG vs IND 3rd Test at Lord's

After an upsetting defeat for Team India at the Lord’s Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar trophy, the points table of the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC Points Table) has been updated with England taking the second spot. With the 3^rd match of the 5-match series, the team led by Ben Stokes jumps in the second spot, just behind the table topper, Australia. Australia is currently the front runner of the points tally after both Test matches against the West Indies.

Pat Cummins and Co. in 1^st place with 34 points and 100.00 PCT. England, with a couple of wins and 1 defeat, has 24 points and 66.67 PCT. After Australia, England, and Sri Lanka, Team India is currently at the fourth spot of the ladder with 12 points and 33.33 PCT. The brigade in blue is in the uncomfortable situation because of their defeats at Headingly and Lord’s.

India needed only 193 runs to win the second straight match to maintain their momentum and took a 2-1 lead in the series. But another batting collapse left the team with broken hearts. India’s batting lineup lost its shape mostly when Archer clean bowled Pant. Rahul, without any significant support from the opposite end, could not hold the anchor tightly, and he had to pay the price against the priceless wicket.

Ravindra Jadeja, at number 7, made an unbeaten 61 off 181 deliveries but for a losing cause. Archer and Stokes bagged three wickets each, and Brydon Carse got 2 scalps to outclass Team India. After winning the test match at Lord’s, the home team now has a 2-1 advantage in the 5-match series.
