The former all-rounder of the Indian cricket team, Yuvraj Singh, has shared an emotional message, requesting everyone to support peace, safety, and the chances for the children and citizens, as he called for an amicable solution through dialogue amid the protests over the exam paper leak of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

On July 20, the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) arranged a ‘Sansad Chalo’ protest in the national capital of India, which was met with police action. The opposition leaders have criticized the police action as the protestors were lathi-charged and met with tear gas.

Yuvraj, the two-time World Cup-winning member of the Indian side in 2007 and 2011, took to Instagram and avoided the political commentary and focused on the welfare of the students, stressing the fact that every child deserves to dream without fear.

“To every child, student, woman and man: you deserve the opportunity to learn in peace, grow with safety and chase your dreams. Your well-being is the foundation of a brighter India.” Yuvraj wrote on his Instagram story.

Yuvraj’s comments come at a very critical time when the protests, which are linked to the alleged NEET paper leak, have intensified across the country. Apart from him, Jasprit Bumrah's wife and Rohit Sharma's wife have also done the same to support the protestors.
