A week ago, the RR captain Riyan Parag was seen vaping inside the dressing room during the encounter against the Punjab Kings in Chandigarh. The camera found the batter sitting on a table and using the e-cigarette, which is banned in India. Later, the IPL council handed a 25% fine for this incident.
Yuzvendra Chahal spotted smoking in flight during IPL 2026
Now, the Punjab Kings leg-spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, was spotted smoking something suspicious inside a flight along with the teammates amid the event.

In a video uploaded by the side’s pacer, Arshdeep Singh, on his YouTube channel, Chahal, who was seated along with the vice-captain, Shashank Singh, could be seen concealing a smoking object while lighting up.
The final has been noticed as it went viral on social media platforms. One of the users captured the screenshot and shared it. Chahal may be eligible for a similar punishment by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in addition to the relevant action being taken by the law enforcement authorities.

“The BCCI is also exploring other options to initiate proceedings for stringent action against the erring team, its officials, and player/s to ensure that the reputation of IPL remains intact.” The statement addressed.
Smoking of any form is prohibited in a flight according to the Aircraft Rules, 1937, since it can cause a serious hazard, leading to even a life-threatening condition inside the aircraft, whether flying or standard.

The 35-year-old spinner is the leading wicket-taker of the Indian Premier League (IPL) with 229 wickets in 181 innings at an average of 23.22 and an economy rate of just over eight and a strike rate of 17.3, thanks to the best bowling figures of 5/40.
