After a test series with South Africa, Zimbabwe (ZIM vs SA) is now ready to host a T20I Tri-Nation series involving South Africa and New Zealand. The first match of the series is set to be held on July 14, 2025, at Harare Sports Club. The host, Zimbabwe, will take on South Africa in the series opener. South Africa clearly has a better edge over ZIM, especially after winning the two-match Test series by 2-0. More than the match result, the first XIs of these teams will be interesting to see, as both nations have selected multiple young talents for the assignment.

Sikandar Raza will lead Zimbabwe, while Rassie van der Dussen is the captain of SA's T20I team. According to stats, in their respective last 5 matches, each team suffered a couple of losses. Though SA has a better number of wins, which is 2 out of 5, and ZIM got only 1 victory within their 5 matches. But the head-to-head stats clearly show the dominance of South Africa over Zimbabwe.
