Two teams already announced their squads with multiple replacements. South Africa will lock horns with the Chevrons without their regular skipper, Temba Bavuma, because of an injury problem.
In the first released squad, Bamuva's name was in the list. On the other side, Zimbabwe, the host team, will also play without some of their key players. Opener Ben Curren, all-rounder Sikandar Raza, and seamer Victor Nyauchi have been left out for various reasons. Through this series, multiple young talents will get the platform to showcase their talents. Despite a young group of players on pen and paper, South Africa will step into the field as the favorite to win the first match and the series also.
