The BCCI announced the first phase of the IPL 2026 schedule on Wednesday. The tournament will start on March 28, with the opening match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The rest of the schedule will be announced later because of elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Assam.

IPL 2026 will be the 19th season of the tournament. Over the years, some of the best batsmen in IPL history have consistently performed against certain teams. Just like in international cricket, some batsmen have favorite bowling attacks against which they always score well.
