Top 3 Most-Searched Indian Cricketers on Google 2024

Cricket runs in the blood of many Indians, creating an enormous fanbase which has been prominent for quite a long time. However, in 2024, the landscape of the cricketing ecosystem has changed. Regarding Google Search, the modern-day gladiators have been surpassed by rising stars who have demonstrated their prowess on the most significant stage.

The IPL has always provided an excellent platform for rising players to demonstrate their abilities; this year has been no exception. The top three include two uncapped players who have performed admirably on a stage like the IPL.

At the same time, the first spot is retained by the all-rounder who displayed his impeccable comeback through the medium of cricket. That said, here's the list of the top three most searched players on Google, 2024 edition.

1. Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya, an Indian all-rounder, has emerged as the most searched cricketer on Google in 2024, according to the newly released Google Year in Search. This rise in attention is due to a succession of high-profile events and performances that have kept him in the limelight all year. The Baroda all-rounder returned to the Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL 2024 season, replacing Rohit Sharma as captain, which agitated many fanatics.

His bleak and forgettable captaincy performance added salt to the wound. Hardik was viciously ridiculed, failing to produce with bat and ball in the lucrative competition. But, his narrative took a positive turn for Hardik's clutch player abilities when he played a crucial role in India's success at the team's triumphant T20 World Cup 2024, producing 144 runs and 11 wickets in eight matches.
