Full ball angling down leg, Head's weight is on the back foot as he looks to flick it away and he gets a faint tickle on it. Round the wicket, good length ball in the channel, Labuschagne's footwork is tentative as he looks to defend, ends up poking at it and nicks it through to the keeper. Over 6.6 Rabada to Green, out Caught by Markram!! Another one!! It had to be KG Rabada to wreck damage in this big final. A fuller delivery that angles in towards off, shapes away late and catches the outside edge as Green presses forward to defend that one. A stunning low take by Markram to the right, as he had Mulder in his eye line as well diving towards the ball. Over 6.3 Rabada to Khawaja, out Caught by Bedingham! KG Rabada has deserved this one! Kept bowling it in that corrdior of uncertainity, and this time induces the edge. On a length on fourth stump, gets a bit of uneven bounce as Khawaja was jumping and expected that rise more. Catches a thick edge and flies to the left of first slip where Bedingham takes a neat catch. South Africa (SA) and Australia (AUS) are set to face off in the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025 at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, starting Wednesday, June 11. South Africa topped the WTC points table with eight wins from 12 matches, while Australia secured the second spot with 13 victories in 19 games.
The Proteas come into the final on the back of five consecutive Test wins, while Australia has won four of their last five encounters. Overall, the two teams have met in 101 Tests, with Australia claiming 54 wins and South Africa 26. Notably, the last time they faced off at Lord’s was in 1912, where Australia won by 10 wickets. In their five most recent meetings, both teams have registered two victories each.
