A total of 369 players are set to go under the hammer as 10 IPL teams aim to fill 77 vacant slots. As per IPL rules, each franchise can have a maximum squad size of 25 players, including up to eight overseas players, making strategy and purse management crucial.

Kolkata Knight Riders enter the IPL 2026 auction with the highest remaining purse of ₹64.30 crore, followed by Chennai Super Kings at ₹43.40 crore. With several teams holding healthy budgets, intense bidding battles are expected for marquee names.

Star Players to Watch at IPL 2026 Auction

All eyes will be on Australia all-rounder Cameron Green, who previously played for RCB and is expected to attract big bids. Another major name in the auction pool is Venkatesh Iyer, released by KKR ahead of the auction despite being bought for ₹23.75 crore in the previous mega auction. The Indian all-rounder is likely to be a top target for multiple franchises.
