With an early loss Stars are already left with work to do. They fought well despite a low score as new recruits did a good job with the ball, but will know that the batting needs to put some more effort. The Hobart Hurricanes have built a nice group and has a good balance with their line-up.

At 33, Trent Boult begins his journey as a freelancer. His first game went well from a personal point of view as he took the new ball and also picked up two wickets. With the Stars losing though, he will have a greater role as Stars look to get on the board.
Matthew Wade is in a similar position as Aaron Finch. His T20I future is uncertain but the ongoing season will allow him to understand if he has it in him to continue for a few more years or if his time is up.

The Stars are doing well with the ball but Hobart Hurricanes may be better off with the balance they have in their line-up.
