England vs South Africa: The other side of England’s aggressive approach in Test Cricket has been seen. While they can chase sizeable totals in the long format, there will be days of struggle against quality bowling attacks. South Africa’s bowling line-up certainly looked too good for England on the day. While Kagiso Rabada finished with seven, South Africa will be more pleased with how Anrich Nortje bowled. Coming off very little long form cricket, his pace and accuracy are right where they need to be. He is bowling very well and South Africa will be hoping he continues this way as this gives them a fearsome bowling attack with four bowlers who provide a lot of variety.

England Playing XI

Key Players
Joe Root
Joe Root scoring low is a rare sight. After a decent time though, England had a collapse in both innings, taking it back to the days of Root’s captaincy. With England up against a quality bowling attack they need their quality batters to do the job and Joe Root is the best for the role. When he scores, England are always in the game and he will want to step up after a failure in the first Test.
Anrich Nortje
Anrich Nortje is back in the Test side, playing after nearly an year. He took time to find his rhythm in white-ball cricket but quickly came to his best in Test Cricket. In this Test he had England dancing to his pace as he cranked the speed guns consistently. His pace adds another dimension to the bowling attack and his three wickets were really helpful in derailing England in the second innings. With Nortje back, South Africa have four different pacers who look very threatening.
England vs South Africa Match Tips
South Africa’s bowling attack looks very good while the batting is just enough to do the job. England are reliant on some heroic performances and unless the likes of Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow can give them such heroics a win will be tough to come by.
