RR vs RCB Match Prediction Both sides are coming off victories in their previous meetings and will be trying to keep the winning streak going. The club from Jaipur has won both of their games so far and is now leading the points table with an amazing net run rate. Sanju Samson has commanded the team admirably, and their bowling attack appears to be tough.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other side, lost their opening game against the Punjab Kings after failing to defend 205 runs in 20 overs. They did, however, win their following game against the Kolkata Knight Riders, but not convincingly, as they nearly stalled in a low-scoring chase. They’ll be seeking a clinical win to boost their team’s confidence. Meanwhile, Glenn’s return will provide the team with a boost.
Match: Rajasthan Royals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore
Date: April 05, 2022;
Time: 07:30 PM IST
Venue: Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
The dew that comes into play in the latter portion of the game has favored the side batting second in each of the three games played at the Wankhede Stadium thus far. The pitch is ideal for batting, and having wickets in hand will be crucial in putting up a total. Based on previous outcomes, the captain who wins the toss will most likely bowl first again.
The weather in Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, India, is expected to be bright tomorrow. The daytime temperature will reach 35 °C, while the nighttime temperature will drop to 27 °C. It will be dry, with no precipitation and only 1% of the sky clouded; the humidity will be approximately 64%.
Sanju Samson (c & wk), Devdutt Padikkal, Shimron Hetmyer, Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Ravichandran Ashwin, Navdeep Saini, Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, Prasidh Krishna
Faf du Plessis (c), Dinesh Karthik (wk), Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Anuj Rawat, Shahbaz Ahmed, Wanindu Hasaranga, David Willey, Harshal Patel, Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj
Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli was removed for 12 in the last game against the Kolkata Knight Riders after smashing two superb boundaries, and he will be keen for a big score. With an unbeaten 29-ball 41 against the Punjab Kings, the right-hander got off to a fantastic start and has looked in excellent form anytime he has been at the bat. In important games, he loves to step up, and he’ll have a significant part to play against Rajasthan Royals’ star-studded bowling attack.
Harshal Patel
Harshal Patel had a wonderful season with the Royal Challengers Bangalore last year, and he is off to a great start this year. In his previous game against the Kolkata Knight Riders, the right-arm seamer took 2 for 11 and bowled two maidens in the middle overs. In the previous two seasons, he has developed into a match-winner for the team and is particularly good in the death overs, making him one of RCB’s most potent alternatives.
Team News
RR opener Jos Buttler set the tone with a blazing century off just 67 balls at the top, while Sanju Samson (30 runs) and Shimron Hetmyer (35 runs) delivered the firepower against Mumbai Indians. RCB, on the other hand, came close to sabotaging their 129-run chase against Kolkata Knight Riders in their last game when they were left reeling at 17/3 with their top three hitters back in the pavilion. While the game might go either way, Rajasthan Royals appear to be a somewhat more balanced team, especially given their recent performance. Given that, as well as the other variables mentioned above, a pink victory is expected. Rajasthan Royals are expected to win their third consecutive match.
Today’s match prediction: RR will win the match.
